Arrive Auckland, Waiheke Island

Auckland city centre offers world-class shopping, restaurants, bars and galleries which are encircled by wine regions, stunning beaches, pristine rainforest and the magnificent Hauraki Gulf.

Following your airport transfer to the ferry terminal, connect with the ferry to Waiheke Island. The Island boasts beautiful beaches, artists studio & galleries, award-winning vineyards and olive groves.

Accommodation:
The Boatshed, Boatshed Suite with Full Breakfast and a Four Course Dinner this evening. 

With the beach only a short stroll away and the shops & markets of Oneroa five minutes away, the Boatshed is the perfect place to relax and unwind.   The boatsheds suites have a beach hut feel, completely private with panoramic ocean views. Facilities include king bed, open fire, air conditioning, complimentary treats, evening port, complimentary soft beverages, Beach gear including shade umbrella, sun hats, beach bag, sand mat & sunscreen, TV, DVD, CD, Bose Ipod Dock and complimentary WIFI.

Waiheke Island, Auckland to Napier

Retrace your journey back to Auckland by ferry and back to the Airport. Fly to Napier (flight not included).     Once in Napier, transfer to your accommodation situated amongst the vines.

Napier’s trademark is its Art Deco architecture, built in the 1930s, following an earthquake that destroyed the city in 1931. Few places in the world have such a broad representation of the Stripped Classical, Spanish Mission, and Art Deco styles within such a confined area, which is why the city has deservedly become known as the Art Deco Capital.   And with over 100 vineyards and 70 wineries, many with cellar doors and restaurants, visitors to Hawke’s Bay will encounter the regions wonderful wine.

Enjoy an in-depth winery tour that follows the path of the grape from the vineyard to the cellar and finally onto the finished wine. You will walk the vineyard, visit the winemaking cellars and receive an educational tasting with one of our wine specialists.

Napier

This morning, enjoy a half day ‘Food & Wine Lovers Delight’ Tour.  Become absorbed into the world of wine of your Food & Wine Lovers Delight Tour. Talk with those that are passionate about crafting world class wines from our soils. Visit some of the best of our wineries and taste their award winning wines. Rich soils and warm growing conditions attract innovative epicurean food producers – taste, touch and smell their myriad of tantalizing products.

This evenings progressive dinner experience takes you on a scenic drive through the vineyards as you learn more about the region and its wines. Enjoy a fully interactive wine tasting alongside gourmet platters at Vidal. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views from Te Mata Peak while enjoying a glass of bubbles as the sun sets from 399m above sea level (overlooking the glimmering lights of the Twin Cities in winter). Proceed to Elephant Hill for the main course accompanied by wine. Finish the evening at the country’s oldest and grandest winery the Mission Estate for dessert, dessert wine, and your choice of tea or coffee.

Napier

GRADE 2 – Gentle, flat terrain.
30km’s (18.6miles), Allow 4 hours.

Meet your guide this morning for your Ahuriri to Black Barn, Havelock North Cycle.

From the historic port village of Ahuriri the cycle trail takes you past the Napier, a world renowned Art Deco treasure and along Marine Parade. The scenery changes to rural farmland as you approach the settlement of Clive, a great stop for refreshments. Then, the final stretch of coastal riding takes you through the East Clive Wetlands, home to coastal birds who nest in the area. Turning inland you will ride through apple orchard and vineyard country, follow the Tuki Tuki River to the bustling village of Havelock North.   Visit Te Mata Estate winery before continuing to Black Barn Vineyard. A Two Course Lunch and glass of wine is included today.

Fly to Queenstown (flight is not included) where on arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

Surrounded by majestic mountains and nestled on the shores of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown is the Southern Hemisphere’s premier four season lake and alpine destination. It’s also the world’s southernmost wine-producing region so sampling award-winning local Pinot Noir is a must.

Queenstown

Join your senior wine guide for your private wine tasting journey, to some of New Zealand’s most memorable vineyards. With your guide’s local knowledge and familiarity of the Central Otago vineyards at your disposal, you’ll enjoy a relaxing day in wine country enjoying local cuisine, sampling local cheeses and tasting a selection of fine wines.

During the day, taste wines at five different vineyards, a cheese platter and a delicious gourmet platter style lunch. You will also meet a local winemaker for a more intimate vineyard tour and wine tasting. (subject to availability of wine maker).

Milford Sound Day Trip

Take a magnificent Milford Sound helicopter flight across the Southern Alps this morning. Upon landing in Milford Sound, join your cruise to view cascading waterfalls, sheer rock faces and unique wildlife, voyage out past St Anne’s lighthouse and travel out to the Tasman Sea. A picnic lunch is included.

On your return helicopter journey, enjoy an alpine landing for the ultimate Milford Sound experience.

Currency

All pricing is in New Zealand Dollars and includes 15% GST (Goods & Services Tax).

Pricing

Pricing is subject to availability and confirmation of the stated itinerary at time of booking.  If we are unable to confirm the stated hotels and services, we will endeavour to confirm substitutes at similar rates, however additional costs may apply.

Rental Car Terms & Conditions:

Inclusions: unlimited kilometres, airport/ferry collection fee, full insurance (subject to reduced excess), front windscreen cover, personal accident insurance, guaranteed replacement vehicle in case of accident.

Exclusions: insurance excess reduction of $345.00 including GST (note, standard insurance excess is $3,450.00 including GST), bond, petrol costs, one way fee ($57.50), optional extras, (all additional expenses to be paid direct)

Payment Policy

We do require a non-refundable deposit of NZD$250.00 per person before we go ahead with securing any reservations.

In addition, some of our suppliers may require further deposits to cover their strict cancellation policies, in this case we would advise you at the time of quoting and confirming your itinerary.

The balance of your booking would be required 45 days prior to your travel date.   If you book inside 45 days, full payment would be required at time of booking.

Payment can be made by electronic wire transfer and should include the additional NZD $25.00 bank fee.   We also accept Visa and Mastercard at an additional fee of 3.1%.

Amendments

We are happy to amend your itinerary and dates, however please keep in mind that some of the original services may not be available for your new dates, which may incur additional costs for substituted services.   Amendment fees may apply with multiple changes.

Cancellation Fees

Once Confirmed               Non-refundable Deposit of NZD $250.00 per person

Inside 45 – 21 Days          A Cancellation fee of 30% of your total booking value will apply, along with any cancellation fees applied by our accommodation, sightseeing and other providers.

Inside 20 – 8 days             A Cancellation fee of 50% of your total booking value will apply, along with any cancellation fees applied by our accommodation, sightseeing and other providers.

Inside 7 Days                      Full Cancellations, 100% charge

We will however do our very best to recover and minimise these cancellation fees but recommend that you purchase Travel Insurance to cover yourself.
